"Happy Wrap Days — Love, Cromwell"
We didn't expect the chalkboard to read "Happy Wrap Days — Love, Cromwell." But when Mark Rylance, playing Thomas Cromwell in the BBC's Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light, walked over to our trailer in full period costume and picked up a crepe, we knew this was going to be memorable.
The production wrapped at a stunning historic location — a medieval manor house surrounded by bare winter trees. Our green trailer was parked on the gravel drive, the savoury menu chalked up, the griddles hot, and every crepe prepared fresh in front of the cast and crew — one every 30 seconds at peak service.
What Made It Special
The Florentino proved popular with the crew, while Lemon and Sugar was the sweet standout as the evening wound down. Our Elite French Cocktail Menu — featuring Citadelle Gin and French Crémant — was also on offer for the occasion.
Mark Rylance eating a crepe in full Tudor costume — cheerfully in front of our trailer — was a moment that captures everything we love about this work.
